Preparations are underway for the second running of the Glenroy Plains Produce Enduro, scheduled for Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th August in the Limestone Coast region of the South Australia South East.

The track is located on the “MOOREX” property which is 5,000 acres owned by Extreme 2WD competitor Greg Gartner.

The early entry fee of $300 for the Glenroy Plains Produce Enduro closes on Friday 16th July and late entries 4th August for $400.  If you're intending on competing, click here for all the event details.

The Limestone Coast Off Road Club have raised the bar for 2010 with the Glenroy Plains Produce Enduro nominating for a round of the Victorian Off Road Championship.

The track is made up of a diversity of hills, sand, scrub, open terrain and quarry. It will be approximately 350 kms in length. The Glenroy Plains Produce Enduro will start on Friday night 6th August with scrutiny from 4pm till 9pm.

Saturday will consist of reconnaissance, prologue and two laps of the 55kms course. A further 2 laps will be run Sunday morning with a half hour break, then a another two laps, with another half hour break followed by another 1 lap, totaling 275km. The race will be followed by presentations in the shearing shed.

This year the Limestone Off Road Club have secured Jodie Bell from Real Balls Promotions to commentate the event and SportzPrint to sell the Glenroy Plains Produce Enduro merchandise. SportzPrint will have everything from shirts, jackets to stubby holders, something for everyone.

“This event is a family friendly enjoyable weekend. The facilities are great, a fantastic track along with the generous support of the local community. The property has camping, toilet and shower facilities. A local community group is providing catering and bar facilities over the weekend” said a club representative.

Moorex is located 25kms north of Naracoorte on the Riddoch Highway, then a further 4 kms up the Bordertown Road on the right.
