Queenslanders – get ready to go racing
Friday, 13 January 2012
1165b_sm Queensland off road racers will be the first state to go racing for the 2012 season. An early start to the year sees a South East Queensland Off Road Association club race on 28-29 January at Black Butt followed by the first of the Queensland Off Road Short Course Series events at Gympie.

The Queensland Off Road Championship, the pinnacle of Queensland off road racing, has competitors starting up their engines on 3-4 March at Hervey Bay when competitors will hit the track in earnest chasing down championship points.

The Fraser Coast Off Road Club is hosting the 15km long course event and have put together a track through natural sandy, grassy terrain, some long open straights and a few tight turns with five heats making up the weekends racing.

1165c_sm “We look forward to seeing a lot of new vehicles and new competitors on the Fraser Coast track as it is a good combination track, new and well underway with jumps and straights to allow you to stretch the legs of your machines” commented Bryan Peterson, Club President. “We will ensure that it suits all classes of off road racers. We would like to send a warm welcome to the competitors that have supported us in the past and new competitors looking for a challenge.”

“The venue will have a great area set up for the spectators, showcasing the awesome power of our off road machines and the food facilities will be fully catered from breakfast to dinner.”
