The 2012 New South Wales off road calendar has had a shake up this year with the Warialda event moving from their traditional September date to March. The move to 24-25 March makes the Hunter Rivmasta Warialda 200 the first round of the New South Wales Off Road Championship and the first opportunity for that state to go racing.

The scrutiny street carnival will make a welcome return for 2012 after consultations between local authorities and the off road club resulted in a workable solution for both parties. The off road machines will be parked up the main street for public view and close inspection in a carnival type atmosphere in what should prove to be an awesome start to a great weekend of motorsport.

The club are well underway with their preparations towards the 22nd running of the Hunter Rivmasta 200. The track has stood up well after the recent rainfall and property owners are certain the track will be in prime condition come late March after some minor work.

With the race being brought forward to Round 1 of the New South Wales Off Road Championship, the organisers are hoping that entries will be high, with competitors wanting to start the year off with a bang, taking a lead in the championship leaderboard, and get back behind the wheel after the summer off season.

The Dash for Cash will be back in 2012 and always proves a hit for spectators and racers alike; for the finishers a nice incentive to end their weekend on a high.

Mark the Hunter Rivmasta Warialda 200 on your calendars. Supplementary Regulations will be available shortly.
