Perfect Conditions for Warialda
Thursday, 22 March 2012
Monomeeth is the place to be this weekend with 51 eager New South Wales and Queensland competitors nominated for the Hunter Rivmasta Warialda 200, all looking to get some race miles under their helmets after the summer off season.

With entries still flowing in, the Warialda Off Road Club expect the list of 51 to grow before Friday’s official cut-off date.

Serious New South Wales Off Road Championship campaigners will be hoping for a head start in the points bank for the 2012 season, with some of the 2011 class champions entered, set to defend their titles.

The 2011 New South Wales Off Road Championship went down to the wire, with the last event at Colo Park the deciding round for several classes. The most talked about battle was that for Pro Class with youngster Rikki Hedley in her debut driving year duelling with the more experienced Peter Sowter for class honours; the end result, a two way tie. With both Hedley and Sowter entered this weekend, expect the battle to be on from the drop of the first flag.

The weather forecast for the weekend is for perfect racing conditions, with no rain and a comfortable 25 degrees. The track is said to be “the best it’s ever been”, and with a top quality field of competitors, the Monomeeth property on the outskirts of Warialda will be humming with the sound of off road racing engines.
