1285a_sm The BAT Racing Team have snatched victory from the Ballistic Racing Team at the ARB – Total Asphalt & Traffic Management Hyden 400 by less than 30 seconds after 420km and two days of flat out off road racing around the paddocks of Smithy’s Place in the Western Australian wheat belt.

1285b_sm Justin Steadman and Andrew McCarthy flew the flag high for the BAT Racing team in the BAT Pro buggy #68 after team owner Brad Cooper succumbed to clutch issues after leading field at the conclusion of Saturday’s Racing.

Eric and Neil Phillips crossed the line first on the road in the #96 Ballistic Racing Aceco but were pushed back into second outright on corrected time.

Twenty three minutes back on track time was third outright placegetters, the 2011 ProLite Western Australian Off Road Champions in Craig and Marcus Wells, driving the wheels off the Razorback #198.

Rounding out the top five, with fifth line honours going to the father and son team of Owen the Mitchell Davies in the Nissan Navarra #828.

Keith Rance and Glenn Caporn were in and out of the pits with ongoing over heating issues in the #54 Magnum Slingshot while Benjamin Horn and Callum Elson had a spectacular rear suspension failure in the #569 Performance 2WD as they leapt off the Eventscorp jump in the start finish line arena.
