NT assault on Mannum
Friday, 13 April 2012
The Alice Springs based Team Hosetech are heading south this weekend to compete at the first round of the South Australian Off Road Championship at Mannum in the South Australian Riverland.

Team driver Andrew Mowles had a turbulent 2011, culminating in a blown engine at the Teagle Excavations ARB Pines Enduro, ending their off road racing campaign for the year.

The engine has since undergone a rebuild and development over the off season break, chasing horsepower and reliability. “2011 was a year to forget” commented Andrew Mowles. “We started six events and did not finish one. Hopefully the work we’ve done in the off season will get us to the finish line”.

With the 2012 goal for the team being to reclaim their 2010 South Australian Off Road Championship crown, Team Hosetech will be going all out at Mannum to start the year off with a decent points haul. “If we don’t do too much damage to the Razorback at Mannum, then we’ll head back down for the second round at Baroota in a fortnight’s time” added Mowles. “We’ll decide after Baroota whether or not to tackle the rest of the South Australian rounds.”

Team Hosetech and the single seat Razorback will also enter the Tatts Finke Desert Race in June and the 12 Hour Enduro in August, two of the team’s favourite events. “We plan to have more fun this year to make up for the atrocious year we had in 2011” concluded Mowles.
