Element Off Road Racing are proving a force to be reckoned with on the South Australian off road racing scene, continuing their top form prologuing first and third at today’s Wynakra Enduro. Carl and Tammy Haby clocked in a time of 4m30.69seconds in the #56 machine, edging out the #151 ProLite Chenowth of Luke and Ben Erceg in 4m33.00s.

1493b_sm Aaron Haby in the second Element stable buggy #57 took third on the prologue podium in 4m34.10 narrowly beating the Monster Trophy Truck of Brad Gallard and Scott Modistach in 4m34.47. Rounding out the top five was the father and son team of James and Matt Copeland in the #26 Pro Buggy racer.

The Summit Off Road Car Club received 30 nominations for this weekend round of the South Australian Off Road Racing Associations Interclub challenge with three vehicles failing record prologue times.

1493c_sm The track and racing conditions were near perfect for today’s competition with the only incident being Trevor Copeland and Annie Galliford putting their Jimco through a fence but continuing on to record a prologue time, all be it in 24th position, well off Copeland’s normal pace.

Competitors will take to the track for section 1 this afternoon for three laps of the 20km track.
