Major changes in the off season for the team at Mowles Off Road Motorsport have seen the single seat Razorback #135 converted to a twin seat driver / navigator configuration.

1785d_sm The addition of Matt Ryan to the navigators role sees the Mowles Off Road Motorsport team return to the Australian Off Road Championship for a full on assault on the #101 plate. “We’re chasing the #101 this year” confirmed Andrew Mowles, team owner and driver.

Along with the extensive changes that come with addition a second seat, the team has also undertaken engine development in conjunction with Shane Wilson Race Engines and shock absorber refinement with Brad Zacka from King Shocks Australia.

1785b_sm During the break Mowles Off Road Motorsports has secured new racing partners for the 2013 season and are proud to announce Sidchrome as their major sponsor for their upcoming Australian Off Road Championship campaign.

“We competed in the KC Autoelectrics and Bosch Battery 250km in Alice Springs last weekend when we gave the reconfigured Razorback a good shake down. We were really happy with our first in class and second outright result” added Mowles.

When asked about the shakedown at Mt Ooraminna and how it felt to have a navigator after driving a single seat for the last few year, Mowles laughed that the intercom wasn’t working, so it was fine.

1785c_sm The Razorback has also received a colour make over, now sporting an outback red livery.

Preparations are underway as the team readies for the trip to Western Australia for round one of the Australian Off Road Championship at the Komatsu – Brooks Hire Hyden 450.

Matt Ryan went on to say “it has been a big task preparing the newly configured buggy and we would like to give a special thanks to Mick Schembri from MDS Fabrication, Troy Zytveld from TZee Tuning , Matt Morgan from Alice Hosetech and Sean Soole from Sidchrome.”

Mowles Off Road Motorsports would also like to thank our generous sponsors for making it all possible this year:
