The LIVE Broadcast of the Australian Off Road Championship resumes this weekend with the first round of the 2013 championship, the Komatsu-Brooks Hire Hyden 450 at Hyden in the Wave Rock tourist region of Western Australia.

Returning to the LIVE line up, which is only available through offroadracing.com.au, will be the ‘Behind the Wheel’ internet radio show, which first debuted at the 2010 Tatts Fink Desert Race. The internet radio show will go to air at 5:00pm on Easter Friday afternoon Western Australian time, 7:30pm Central Daylight Savings Time and 8:00pm Eastern Daylight Savings time. The one hour live internet broadcast will feature interviews with drivers, crews and key event personnel.

Also included in the LIVE line-up on Saturday and Sunday will be the ever popular as it happens at the Hyden typed commentary, bough to you by our professional commentary team of Kendall Clarke and Leanne Walker. The exhilarating voice over of Rusty and Jodie Bell will beam through the Track PA and streamed to lounge rooms and workshops at home, giving the avid listener the feeling of being trackside.

Last but certainly by no means least will be the instant provisional times, published to offroadracing.com.au immediately after a car has crossed the finish line.

The LIVE coverage gets underway on Friday afternoon at 5:00pm WA time with Behind the Wheel, resuming Saturday morning at 10:15am with the typed commentary and the track audio streaming live from 11:00am in readiness for the 11:15am prologue start.

Following prologue and top ten shootout there will be a quiet time in the coverage and at the start finish arena as competitors ready themselves for their first competitive run of the 2013 season through Smithy’s Place at 2:45pm when they’ll traverse the course, completing one lap and scoring valuable outright and class points for section one.

Sunday will see the action hot up with the LIVE broadcast resuming at 7:45am for an 8:00am section two start. Section two will consist of two laps. At the conclusion of section two, competitors racing for Western Australian Off Road Championship only will have completed their required distance and can sit back and watch the battle for the Australian Off Road Championship unfold as the big guns get ready to take to the track for two final laps.
