Mowles Off Road Motorsport didn’t get the start to their 2013 Australian Off Road Championship campaign that they’d planned with the #135 Razorback suffering engine failure 5km before the end of today’s section one at the Komatsu – Brooks Hire Hyden 450.

The Alice Springs based team were looking forward to this weekend’s Australian Off Road Championship ProLite class battle with Wes Cowie and Travis Milburn in the RevTech Motorsports #108 Jimco; as was evident in their light hearted banter during their session on the Behind the Wheel internet radio chat show last night.

Mowles commented after his disappointing run today that their next race would be the Tatts Finke Desert Race in June, their home track. They also plan to enlist the help of Shane Wilson Race Engines to prepare their engine for their Finke onslaught.

“We’re disappointed about today, but we’re planning ahead, preparing for Finke. We’ll get the gear box services and send the engine down to Shane Wilson. We’ll head back to Alice Springs tomorrow, but for tonight, we’re staying in the 5 million star hotel here at Smithy’s Place.

Mowles Off Road Motorsports would also like to thank our generous sponsors for making it all possible this year:
