Mumbannar 2013 Ready, Set, Go

The Millicent Sand Buggy Club is all set for there first event of the 2013 season, the Mumbannar Off Road Challenge Short Course, held this weekend the 21st of April. The Property is situated just 40kms North East of Mount Gambier on the Dartmoor/Heywood Road.

A quality field of 22 off road racers have so far nominated to front up to have a crack at one of the best club events the Millicent Sand Buggy Club can offer. The event consists of two by ten lap heats, covering 150km in length over the two sections.

Scrutiny is scheduled for 3.00pm-5.00pm on Saturday 20th April and 7.00am-9.00am Sunday morning Victorian time. Competitor requiring Sunday Scrutiny will need to have pre-arranged this with event organisers prior to this weekend. Competitor Briefing will be at 9.30am Sunday before the start at 10.00am.

Some of the south east’s best racers will be in fierce competition with competitors from Adelaide and surrounding areas, all vying for the title of the 2013 MSBC Mumbannar Off Road Challenge Champion.

The Entry List as of the Tuesday 16 April consists of the following Drivers and Navigators:

Pro Class: Ivan Schmocker and Wayne Evans in the ex Pro Haby car, David Adams and Andrew Taylor in their Pro buggy and Andrew Oliver and Leon Chugg in their Southern Cross Machine.

Pro Lite: Colin McLaren, locals James Stewart and Wendy Ogden, another local Trent Gravestock and Raymond Caldwell in their second race in his new car, Trevor Snow and Julie Burridge and Daryl Nissen and Andrew Harness in their new A-arm car.

Super 1650: Locals Mathew Salt and Leon Hawke, Andrew and Kelly Smith, kicking Dad out of the drivers seat is James Tamblyn with Peter and Katie navigating, locals Mark and Shane Heemskerk, Jake England and Jake Douglass in the #323 machine in their first race of the season and Chris Larter and Dennis.

Sportsman: Local Champions Murray and Sarah England, Shaun Klingberg and Aaron Heemskerk and Glenn Wilkinson and Josh Rowen.

Extreme 2WD: Mark Trierweiler and Fred Severin and Jason Peel and Angus Vandepeer supporting Extreme 2WD.

Performance 2WD: Brenton and James Davey and Preston North and Linton Badman.

Production 4WD: Barry Edwards and Dale Cagney and Thomas and Joe Garner

The 2013 Mumbannar Short Course is set to be a great weekends racing with catering available Sunday and camping available Saturday night. Come to Mumbannar and see some spectacular off road racing.
