Entries are now open for the ARB Griffith 400. The Supplementary Regulations are approved and the on-line entry form is ready and waiting for your details.

1993b_sm “We suggest that you read the instructions for the on-line entry carefully and have all your information at hand before starting; once you start you will have 30 minutes to complete the form” explained Julie Rogers, on-line entry coordinator. “If you have any issues, please contact the help desk”.

The ARB Griffith 400 is the second round of the ARB Australian Off Road Racing Series and the fourth round of the New South Wales Off Road Championship. The track venue is located 70km from Griffith at Stackpoole, on the highway between Goolgowi and Rankins Springs.

“If you ran Griffith back when it was a point to point from Griffith to Stackpoole, we are using the some of the furthest parts of the track and the pit area at Stackpoole” added Matt Ryan, Club Representative. “We have had quite a few working bees out at Stackpoole and completed extensive work to the pit, camping and spectator areas.”

1993c_sm The Griffith Off Road Club have installed an amenities block to cater for the campers and have organised full catering for the weekend. A menu will be available soon for Saturday nights’ dinner provided by the Rotary. “We plan to have coffee and donut vans, as well as the Rotary and the Goolgowi Progress Association providing the catering” Matt continued. “When we have the menu organized, we’ll be asking competitors to indicate if they’d like dinner on Saturday night so we can cater for everyone”.

Matt went on to explain that with July being a busy month for off road racers, a refund would be available for Waikerie competitors or those having difficulties repairing after Sea Lake. “With Waikerie the weekend before our event, and with our entries closing before Waikerie has run, we want to encourage competitors to try and do both events. Therefore, we’ve decided to offer a full refund to any competitor who breaks their car at Waikerie and cannot then get to Griffith. We will also give a full refund to any Sea Lake competitors who enter if they end up running out of time to repair their cars, as long as competitors let us know by Tuesday 9th July that they will be unable to race.”

The ARB Griffith 400 will be five laps of an 82km track around the Stackpoole farming property. After the successful running of round one of the ARB Australian Off Road Racing Series at Sea Lake, the Griffith Off Road Club and the Series are anticipating a great roll up on 13-14 July. “We’re really appreciate it if competitors could get their entries in early; we’re expecting a large field and it would assist the club with its planning” added Matt.
