With only three days to the kick off of the ARB Griffith 400, teams are busy race preparing their off road machines for the gruelling 80km track around the Stackpoole property.

Unfortunately three teams have succumbed to technical complications beyond immediate resolution and have withdrawn from the event.

The not so prized honour of first withdrawal went to the husband and wife team of Andy and Karen Fox, the #705 Nissan Patrol unable to greet the start line at Stackpoole due to work committments.

The second withdrawal was the Mount Gambier based team of Jason Coombe and Daniel Lamb #76 followed Tuesday afternoon by Matt Owen and Adam O’Connor; the brand new #101 Alumi Craft failing on the dyno.

A field of 85 teams remain for the second round of the ARB Australian Off Road Racing Series and the fourth round of the New South Wales Off Road Racing Championship.

The crew from Fuel Fuel – Race and Rally Motorsport Fuel Service will be ready and waiting to distribute fuel. If you’ve planning on using the services of Fuel Fuel, please contact Jason Dann on 0407 314 743 to make a booking.

The Goolgowi Service Station will be open for limited hours over the weekend and does not have 98 fuel available.

“The Griffith Off Road Club have put in an enormous amount of effort to get the Stackpoole venue into pristine condition” commented Murray Rogers, Clerk of Course. “With over 250 competitors, crew and family camping at Stackpoole, the ARB Griffith 400 is set to be a enjoyable family friendly event inline with the ARB Australian Off Road Racing Series ethos.”

The team from offroadracing.com.au are also heading to Griffith to provide the full LIVE broadcast Service. The on site track commentary of Glenn and Leigh Wells will stream live via the internet, coupled with the minute by minute typed commentary and as it happens results.

The local Rotary Club will be serving up a scrumptious Saturday night dinner menu of chicken or steak with vegetables, salad and chips. A marquee with table and chairs will add to the festive atmosphere for those enjoying the Rotary delicacies.
