The Australian Off Road Championship welcomes internationally acclaimed tyre manufacturer, BFGoodrich Tires, as the official tyre partner of the 2013 Championship.

BFGoodrich Tires is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of high performance off-road tyres, and has been at the forefront of tyre development since the company was founded in 1870.

2060b_sm With an impressive track record of motorsport success – having dominated desert racing since the 1970’s 29 wins in the internationally renowned Baja 1000 in the USA, and multiple victories the Dakar Rally, World Rally Championship, and at Pikes Peak – the AORC is proud to partner with a brand that is held in such high regard within the motorsport community.

BFGoodrich Tires Australian Managing Director, Thierry Martin-Lassagne said that partnering with the Championship provided another challenge for their tyres.

“BFGoodrich Tires is proud to partner with the Australian Off Road Championship,” said Mr Martin-Lassagne.

“Years of development go into the design of all BFGoodrich Tires products, with lessons learned from engineering sessions at proving grounds and tracks, plus hundreds of off-road races around the world through our motorsport partnerships.”

“After putting the tyres through the toughest of tests, including the AORC, our engineers create tyres that give even the most serious off roader what they are looking for - driving pleasure, strong sensations or extreme adventures.”

As a company focussed on maximum quality and total performance, the AORC believes BFGoodrich Tires is the perfect technical partner for the Championship, and will help showcase the tyre company’s performance capabilities in various iconic Australian landscapes and extreme conditions.

The current top-three AORC contenders, Shannon Rentsch, Hayden Bentley and Matt Hanson, all run on BFGoodrich Baja tyres, as well as the Outer Bound Racing team of Beau and Travis Robinson.

BFGoodrich Tires begins its partnership with the AORC at Round 3 of the 2013 Championship – the Bentley’s Cabin Park Flinders 450 – in Baroota, South Australia, on July 27 and 28.
