Shannon and Ian Rentsch have their eyes only on one prize… a sixth Australian Off Road Championship title to add to their treasure chest.

“We’ve spent the last couple of years regrouping and building reliability into the Jimco” explained Shannon Rentsch, team driver. “This strategy seems to be paying off with a first at Hyden and a second at Finke”.

“We had a good run at Finke, with no real issues. We were happy to get some race miles under our belt and to shake the Finke voodoo off our back”.

After a full service and race maintenance check, the #33 Jimco is packed and ready to head to Baroota for the third round of the Australian Off Road Championship this weekend.

The father and son SR Racing team are currently sitting a top of the AORC points score with a slender lead of 23 points over Hayden Bentley.

“Hayden is going to be hard to beat on his home track” added Shannon. “This will be our first run at Baroota, so we’re not quite sure what to expect.”

The aim for the SR Racing team is a good finish at the Bentley’s Cabin Park Flinders 450 to extend their lead over Bentley and reigning Aus #1 Matt Hanson leading into the fourth round at Coffs Harbour.
