The Goondiwindi Motor Sports Association are gearing up for 2014 and would like to remind competitors to mark in their calendars the 23-24 August for the fourth round of the ARB Off Road Racing Series and the fourth round of the Queensland Off Road Championship, the Goondiwindi 400.

“To all of our race fans and competitors that love to attack the dirt and the famous Goondiwindi Melon Holes, we’d like to remind teams and competitors that the event has moved back two weeks, further into August and to keep the 23-24 August free.”

Planning is well underway with the club anticipating that the format for the event will remain the same as 2013. There will be slight track changes to bring the total length up to close on 80km which will bring back some of the old track back into the course.

Reconnaissance is scheduled for Friday followed by scrutiny on Friday night at the Goondiwindi Showgrounds, Prologue, Top Ten Shootout and one lap of the course on Saturday. Sunday will see two laps, a service break and a further two laps.
