Preparations are well under way for the inaugural running of the ARB Paringa Desert 400. A group of local volunteers are working tirelessly to put together an event that will give competitors the Outback Broken Hill experience.

2336b_sm The venue, Paringa Station, is 50km north of Broken Hill along the Silver City Highway towards Tibooburra. The station is ruggedly beautiful, but harsh, and is subject to dry and difficult conditions. The road to the track entrance is bitumen with the event head quarters and paddock/pit/ area 200 metres from the highway.

Camping will be available at the venue with the online pre purchased cost being $20 per person, for the event. Camping amenities will be brought in for the event including power, shower and toilet facilities. No Fires are permitted on the station.

The Broken Hill Legacy Club will be providing the catering for the weekend and have designed a scrumptious and nutritious menu.

While meals will be able to be purchased at the track, the ARB Paringa Desert 400 committee is offering a meal package that can be pre purchased with an entry or prior to the event.
From Dinner Friday night through to the Event Presentation meal on Sunday afternoon, all your catering needs can be met by pre purchasing online the $100 meal package.

2336c_sm “Just show your meals package wristband to the Legacy tent to get your meal, it’s that simple” explained Kevin Hind, event manager. “By taking this package approach, it not only helps with catering numbers, but it is a no fuss and easy idea for competitors and their families.”

The Supplementary Regulations for the event are in the CAMS checking process and should be available soon. Once the regulations return from CAMS, event entry along with the options for camping and meals will be available online via links on this website.
