ARB Contingency Awards for Round 2
Tuesday, 24 June 2014
The ARB Off Road Racing Series Contingency Program continues to gain momentum with 47 registered ARB Off Road Racing Series competitors participating at Round 2, the MBL Sea Lake Mallee Rally ARB 350.

Racer Imports (Most Consistent Lap Times), Marks 4WD Adaptors (Defeating Adversity) and PMD Race Products (Sportsmanship Award) are proving popular choices with their awards covering all classes and receiving excellent support from the competitors.

Bodie Ticker #233 overcame all manner of challenges and several visits to the pits before finally crossing the finish line in 59th position to be award the Marks 4WD Adaptors Defeating Adversity award while Andrew ‘Rags’ McClelland #131 was chasing down cousin Cameron McClelland #154, when Cam rolled. Rags stopped to assist and was deservedly awarded the PMD Race Products Sportsmanship Award for his efforts. Jamie Knight #439 proved consistency pays off and was awarded the Racer Imports Most Consistent Lap Times.

Fuel Fuel joined the contingency program and The Off Road Shop moved their support to another class, both offering awards in the highly competitive Super1650’s but neither sponsor having to pay up with the top 3 place getters either not registered for the series or not participating in the program.

Glenn Owen #30 added another $1,300 worth of awards to his growing tally thanks to contingency sponsors, MoTeC, Fox Shox, Albins and AIIMS, while Ivan Robertson #471 is reaping the benefits of contingency with $3,500 worth of awards after two events, including a total of $2,000 credit towards an Albins ST6-I.

Kerry Turley #858 showed he and contingency sponsor King Shocks Australia were up for the Sea Lake challenge taking out 1st in class and $100 King Shocks Australia credit.
