Albins and ARB renew support for Gundy
Monday, 15 June 2015
The Goondiwindi Motorsport Association are proud to announce the ongoing support from Albins and ARB 4X4 Accessories as co-naming sponsors for this year’s event; the Albins ARB Goondiwindi 400.

2947b_sm Slated as Round 2 of the CAMS Queensland Off Road Championship, Round 4 of Queensland Off Road Drivers Series and Round 3 of ARB Off Road Racing Series the popular long course event known for its unforgiving melon holes will go green on Friday 7th August.

The proven race format is relatively unchanged from last year with teams taking to the track on Saturday for a qualifying run followed by one lap of the 80km circuit. A further two laps, starting at 8am on Sunday, will be followed by a 30minute service break before reporting to parc ferme. On release of parc ferme teams will have a two lap sprint to race end, totalling 400kms of extreme, gruelling, melon holed off road racing through country Queensland.

2947c_sm With the event less than two months away, teams are advised to book their accommodation early as, unfortunately, there is a second major event in Goondiwindi that weekend, a musical eisteddfod.

The members GMA recently gave up their weekend to promote the Albins ARB Goondiwindi 400 and the sport at the Goondiwindi show, getting up close and chatting to the crowd as they admired the machinery on display. For their tireless efforts, the club were awarded second prize in the Community Service Stand category, with the colouring in competition a bit hit amongst the younger generation.

The supplementary regulations are going through the CAMS approval process and should be available shortly.
