16 Year Old Tyler Youman to take on Gundy
Friday, 30 October 2015
An impressive field of 79 competitors are about to converge on Malapunyah, 30km east of Goondiwindi, for long course reconnaissance of the Albins ARB Goondiwindi 400.

Part of the field, and having his first competitive drive at State Championship level, is 16 year old Tyler Youman in his Performance 2WD Ford Windsor powered Mitsubishi Montero #527.

Tyler has been competing on the local Queensland circuit in multiclub events, but having just turned 16 is now eligible to drive this weekend at Albins ARB Goondiwindi 400.

“I can't wait to drive this great race as it is my first long course event. I just turned 16 and Gundy will be a good experience for me before taking on the full Australian Off Road Championship next year, competing alongside my dad Paul Youman in his #501 LS1 powered Hilux” explained Tyler.

Paul Youman had nominated to compete this weekend also but has withdrawn due to an injury sustained last week.

The team from Hillbilly Racing would like to thank the racing partners; CASE Construction, General Tire, McDonald Murphy Machinery.
