ARB Griffith 400 ... Ready
Monday, 29 February 2016
The members of the Griffith Off Road Club are gearing up for the upcoming ARB Griffith 400, the opening round of the ARB Off Road Racing Series and the second round of the New South Wales Off Road Championship.

With the event under three weeks away, the club are in full swing holding a working bee over the weekend to get the Stackpoole venue ready for the onslaught of off road team.  Upgrades have been made to the spectator areas and with some recent rain, it's shaping up to be a top series opener.

21 teams have so far nominated, and with discounted entries closing this Friday 4th March, now is the time to jump onto the online event entry system and nominate for the event.

2015 ARB Griffith 400 outright winners Jack Rhodes and David Pullino have already added their names to the competitor list, looking to defend their title with back to back wins.

A host of local teams are expected to enter with Karl Power, Andy Ryan and Peter Hunt already on the competitor list. Andy Ryan has made substantial modifications to the Alumi Craft #50 over the summer off season, with a good showing on home soil expected from the hard charger.

Stackpoole is a venue steeped in off road racing history with the name Stackpoole originating after Keith Poole and Bernie Stack who took outright honours at the first off road event held at the property in the 70’s.

Off road racing has been held here on and off for decades with the instigation of the ARB Off Road Racing Series breathing new life into the property.

A popular part of the ARB Griffith 400 is the Saturday night dinner, held in Starlight Dining Room (shed); a great chance to catch up on the days’ racing and the off season happenings. With bar facilities and a live band, Stackpoole is the place to be.  Tickets for the dinner can be booked with event entry, or later using the online order form. Tickets will also be available on the event weekend, however will have a surcharge attached. For the ease of catering, please endeavour to purchase your dinner tickets beforehand.

Event information, including online entry form, can be found here.
