Chasing back to back Albins ARB Goondiwindi 400 titles, Danny Brown and George Apted have kicked off their 2016 Goondiwindi campaign by winning the Prologue, Goondiwindi Tyres Services Top Ten Shoot Out and blitzing the field in the race one this afternoon, to take pole position for Sunday’s race 2 start.

1m43seconds off the pace of Brown and rising above his Sunraysia 600 misfortune is Ryan Taylor and Dan Curran; the Razorback #24 slotting into second place at the completion of the 80km lap after moving from eighth in prologue up to fifth in the Goondiwindi Tyres Services Top Ten Shoot Out.

The engine dramas seem to be behind the HOT Racing Team with Andy Ryan and Dave Smith driving the #50 Alumi Craft into third place, just 29.6seconds behind Taylor.

After electrical issues halted their prologue run, Brad Gallard and Scott Modistach were seeded into 11th position; the Geiser Bros Trophy Truck #454 making easy work of the Goondiwindi melon holes, moving up the field from 11th to fourth, 13.12seconds behind Ryan.

Rounding out the Albins ARB Goondiwindi 400 was the Jimco #58 of Bryce Chapman and Mitch Warren, 25.85second behind Gallard.
