Discounted entries close at midnight tonight, Friday 3rd March 2017 for the ARB Town and Country Tyres Stackpoole 400, the opening round of the 2017 ARB Australian Off Road Racing Series. With the event now accepting entries above their original upper limit of 100, now is the time to submit your entry, [click here].

This year’s event has seen record entries with 99 teams currently nominated for the March 17-19 event. “To say we’re happy with the support we’ve received is an understatement; we were overwhelmed when we received 40 plus entries within the first 48 hours of entries opening” explained Mat Ryan, Griffith Off Road Club representative. “We’d like to hit the tonne, but if not, 99 is an awesome effort”.

“We’re offering a full refund for competitors that need to withdraw, as long as they let us know by Thursday 16th March, so there’s no excuse not to get your entry in before the premium entry fee kicks in tomorrow” added Bobbie Ryan, event secretary.

While the track conditions are expected to be fast, the new format with the field split over two days should see excellent racing conditions for both Saturday and Sunday’s competitors. "At this point with 99 entries, 45% of the field will be on the track on Saturday and 55% on Sunday, so that's a pretty even split" added Mat Ryan.

Sportzprint have launched their online shop for teams that want to pre-order the event merchandise. “If you want your merchandise ready for when you get to Stackpoole, order online and select local pick up, and it will be waiting for you to collect at the Sportzprint trailer” explained Anthony Telfer.

The Griffith Off Road Club members have been out in force setting up the track and venue. The Club have also again been granted a liquor licence, enabling a bar stocked with beer and spirits to help quench the thirst, with the Goolgowi Club handling the bar logistics and catering for the weekend. A delicious menu for the weekend is planned, including steak, rissole and sausage sandwiches, pies and sausage rolls, oven fired pizzas, hot chips and a variety of cold drinks, lollies and snacks and much more.

Catering will be available from Friday night, all day Saturday and Sunday. Bacon and egg rolls will get you going for breakfast on Saturday and Sunday with a hot roast dinner or spaghetti bolognaise served for dinner on Saturday night. For catering purposes the event asks for teams to pre-purchase their Saturday night meal online. [click here] for order form.

The Stackpoole Starlight Dining Room is back allowing teams to be able to enjoy their meal in the meal whilst enjoying a refreshing beverage from the bar or sitting by the bon fire that will be situated near the bar, if fire restrictions allow.

Camping passes will be available at the front gate to the venue and with a larger camping area, due to no crop being planted this year in the surrounding paddocks, everyone should be able to spread out and enjoy their stay.

Don’t forget, discounted entries close midnight tonight, Friday 3rd March. To save $200 in premium entry fee, jump online and complete the online entry form.
