Dondingalong set for Round 2 NSW Championship
Wednesday, 10 May 2017
With only a few days to Scott’s Hydraulics Dondingalong Off Road Challenge, Kempsey Macleay Off Road Club members have the track in excellent condition for the action packed event.

The Scott’s Hydraulics Dondingalong Off Road Challenge on 13th-14th May is Round 2 of the New South Wales Off Road Championship, Round 1 of the East Coast Tri-Challenge and Round 2 of the Off Road Warehouse SCOR Masters.

“Dondingalong hosts the most spectacular racing, with plenty of wheel to wheel action that you don’t get to see a lot of in the long course events. Being only 2.2 kilometres per lap, and with a format that sees short distance, multi car heats, Dondingalong is the ideal venue for our spectators as the natural terrain gives ample passing opportunities while the public can view over 70% of the track from the spectator areas.”

A strong field of approximately 40 cars has entered, in the 10 class categories from the purpose built Pro buggies with engine up to 6.0L to the production built 2WD and 4WD and the UTV classes. Last year’s outright winner Justin Guy and Eric Hume, will be one to watch as they push hard to make it three in a row. After coming off an outright win in Round 1 of the Championship, the Hunter Valley team will attempt to write their name in the record books as once again the winner of the Scott’s Hydraulics Dondingalong Off Road Challenge.

Racing on Saturday gets underway from 9:30am, with Sunday action resuming at 9.00am. The event is expected to wind up around 2:30pm Sunday.

Spectator admission is FREE with full public amenities and excellent catering available both days. The Dondingalong Circuit is located 15 minutes south west of Kempsey on Gowings Hill Road.
