The Nikiforoff family have been long time supporters, volunteers and racers in and around the Sydney area. More recently in the last few years they have been travelling south to Victoria to give young Matthew the opportunity to race where state regulations are more in favour of junior competitors.

However, with the lowering of the age limit in New South Wales to be inline with CAMS competition rules, the family can now compete on home turf and will be taking to the track this weekend for the Ray Vesty Memorial at Colo Park. It was family milestone when Matthew turned 12 and was old enough to navigate. Now a few years on, siblings Daniel and Olivia can also try their hand at the family sport.

The D&M Auto Electrics Racing team is planning a full on family assault on the final New South Wales event for 2017. Daughter Olivia will be navigating for the all-girl power team of Penny Ramsay in her new Super 1650 buggy while son Daniel will be driving Matthews #390 Sportsman machine with Karl Neil navigating.

Matthew is taking the keys of Dad David’s SportsLite #1090 buggy with guest navigator Nicole Lenox. Nicole is a long time New South Wales offroader and was a great friend of Ray Vesty. She hasn’t had the opportunity to run at the memorial race since Ray’s passing so it’s great to see Nicole get back in the navigators seat for the first time in five years.

Dad David and Mum Maria will be leading the D&M Auto Electrics Racing pit crew and cheer squads.

Daniel and Matthew are running special numbers this weekend to raise awareness for men’s cancer and Multiple Sclerosis, which has touched the boys life’s in the last 12 months.

The boys wish all of the competitors luck this weekend and would like to wish the off road community a merry and safe Christmas and look forward to lining up on the grid in 2018.

D&M Auto Electrics Racing team would like to give special thanks to their sponsors D&M Auto Electrics, Fire Services Plus, Race Trans and Bowral Signs their new roof numbers.
