AORRA Board Nominations Open
Friday, 09 February 2018
The board of the Australian Off Road Racing Association (AORRA) have announced that nominations for the election of board members is open.

“Our approach was always to have a democratically elected board. The process to get us to the point of nominations and elections has been long, and a lot of hard work has gone into developing the process by the members of the caretaker board of AORRA. We have formulated what we believe to be the best process to have a democratically elected board that will have members that are willing and able to invest their time and skills into the further development of AORRA, its relationship with AASA and the off road racing community. AORRA are looking for forward thinking and versatile people to take on the various roles within the boards’structure,” said Chris Western, Chairman of the caretaker board of AORRA.

All positions are open for nomination and if more than one nomination is received for a position then an election/vote will take place.

Nominations are required for the positions of Chairperson, Secretary, Treasurer, Media, Technical Representative, Competitor Representative, Safety Representative, Officials Representative, and a Representative for each of the following states with affiliated clubs; New South Wales, South Australia, Victoria, Queensland.

A member from the elected board will represent the states of Western Australia, Northern Territory and Tasmania as, at this stage, there are no affiliated clubs in those states. Once each state has affiliated clubs then they will be entitled to a democratically elected board member to represent their interests on the AORRA Board.
