Dusty conditions again greeted the 25 starters at day two of the Guidolin Carpentry SGORA 200, round 3 of the ARB SAORRA MultiClub Series, held at Port Germein in the South Australian mid north.

Starting out of pole position for day twos eight laps, the dust free first lap helped the father and daughter team of Andrew and Shannyn Fitzgerald cement their outright lead, ultimately storming home in the Element Prodigy #902 to secure first line honours.

The Fitzgerald’s pulled a 6m41s lead over the second placed #263 Southern Cross of Shane Waters and Scott Watson #263 with Nev Day and James Anderson #197 rounding out the Guidolin Carpentry SGORA 200 podium.

Adam Bierl and Nuyree Burmingham #666 were the first Class 6 home and fourth outright, 2m20s off the pace of Day and just 32seconds ahead of fifth placed Justin Battersby and Jacinta Heness #231.

Chris Pickert and Bryan Brown #577 took home the silverware for first in Class 5 and sixth outright ahead of Sam Daniele #176 in seventh place. Nick and Alexander Burt #234 finished the day in eighth outright and third in class 2 head of Haydn and Neil Vanstone #2531 in ninth place. Angelo Piani and Rebecca Victoria #850 rounded out the Guidolin Carpentry SGORA 200 top ten.

15 of the 25 starters completed the full race distance of 12 laps of the 17km course.

The next round of the ARB SAORRA MultiClub Series will be at Waikerie on 14-15 July.
