It is great to see a strong field of Extreme 4WDs ready to tackle the 2019 Gturbo, Rod Hatter Memorial Perenjori 360. With five 4WDs lined up ready to take on round 1 of the 2019 series, there is going to be some red hot racing action from this group.

#813 – Peer Horn will be tackling this event in a unique vehicle. His Mercedes G Wagon ran at a handful of events in the back half of 2018 and showed a lot of potential. Peer is a very experienced campaigner having raced internationally in the past and certainly knows how to bring the #813 machine home for a finish. We are tipping that Peer will land on the class podium, it’s just which step it will be!

#825 – This vehicle features one of the most talked about competitors in the Perenjori 360, albeit most of that talking comes from Pickers himself. The debut of Greg Pickersgill and Greg Finlay in the Ex Brad Krepp Nissan (Datsun) Patrol see the Geraldton duo having a shakedown run ahead of the Gascoyne Dash. It is going to be a big adjustment stepping out of the Extreme 2WD Trophy Truck, but given that Pickersgill has experience in the 4WD classes should mean that he will be on the pace quickly.

#832 – Nicholas Van Geest is back again in his RB powered GU Patrol Ute. The #832 machine packs some serious horsepower and will be well suited to the Perenjori track. Whilst in the past there have been some question marks over the reliability of the big blue ute, it is one of the quickest cars in the state and will certainly be pushing hard for top spot on the podium

#850 – Garry Povah is one of the quiet achievers of the Extreme 4WD class. The immaculately presented Holden Colorado has pace to burn with a thumping V8 under the bonnet and sequential gearbox ensuring that Povah has everything he needs at his disposal. After a mammoth off season rebuild, the Lawn Doctor Racing Team will be one of the class favourites to take out the Perenjori 360 for Extreme 4WD.

#866 – Mark Murray and Jim Ingham are without doubt the excitement machines of the Extreme 4WD class. There are no doubts that you will see this patrol sideways and sootin’ throughout the weekend. The Diesels Unlimited Team have run strongly in the top 10 outright at Perenjori previously and you would not bet against them doing the same again this year.
