The 2019 ARB Australian Off Road Racing Championship is finally about to go green after an interrupted start to the season.

With three events left on the schedule from last years six round Championship, the ARB Town and Country Tyres Stackpoole 500 has graduated from round 3 to once again being the opening round.

“We’re disappointed for the Championship and the three events that are unfortunately unable to be part of this year’s calendar, but we’re excited to be back in July and can safely say that we will have minimal to no dust, no dust storm, definitely not 40 degree days, and best of all, the paddocks are green” explained Karl Power, Griffith Off Road Club President.

Discounted entries for the ARB Town and Country Tyres Stackpoole 400 close at midnight tomorrow, Friday 21st June 2019 so now is the time to submit your entry and capitalise on the discounted entry fee.

“We’re offering a full refund for competitors that need to withdraw, so there’s no excuse not to get your entry in before the premium entry fee kicks in.”

Moving the event from March to July has necessitated a format change with the club excited to be offering competitor a 500km endurance event.

“If the event had of been last weekend when we had the working bee, it would have been absolute perfect racing conditions. What will happen in the next two weeks, we don’t know, but all the signs are pointing towards a great track.”

Being in July and out of the fire season, but with cold nights means a camp fire will be a must have. There will be a wood pile and fire barrels available to campers.

Sportzprint have launched their online shop for teams that want to pre-order the event merchandise. “If you want your merchandise ready for when you get to Stackpoole, order online and select local pick up, and it will be waiting for you to collect at the Sportzprint trailer” explained Anthony Telfer.

Catering and bar facilities will be available at the Stackpoole Starlight Dining Room (aka the implement shed) from Friday night, all day Saturday and Sunday. There will be no formal sit down dinner on Saturday night as has been in the past, but with pizzas and a variety of food on offer, there will be something for everyone.

Camping passes will be available at the front gate to the venue for $20 per person for the weekend.

Don’t forget, discounted entries close midnight Friday 21st June. To save $100 in premium entry fee, jump online and complete the online entry form.
