In testing conditions, Andrew and Fletcher Murdock have claimed outright victory at the Century Batteries Wynarka Enduro amassing a total race time of 2h554m33.350seconds overtaking day one leaders Matt Curtis and Brad Traynor to finish with a lead of 5m04seconds.

Murdock made the best of the wet and muddy conditions, driving consistently all weekend while others around him made mistakes or succumbed to mechanical failures.

Matt Curtis and Brad Traynor #136 were, at times, keeping pace with Murdock trying hold onto their day one lead, however two ‘big offs’ and inconsistent lap times saw Murdock take home the title and Curtis relegated to second place; still a fine effort from the young ProLite driver.

Rounding out the Century Batteries Wynarka Enduro was the single seat Alumi Craft of Tanner James #1093 a further 7m25seconds off the pace of Curtis.

16 of todays 30 starters completed full race distance with a varied list of DNFs. Power steering dramas ended Brad Gallard #45 run; CV failure halted Robert Plant’s #128 Jimco, current SAORRA Multiclub series point score leader Mark Alvino #1075 hit a stump taking out the front suspension of the Southern Cross – he’ll have some quick repair work to do if he’s to make the final round at Mannum. Brett Plant #127 had front axle failure; Robbie Ward had a hard day at the track, rolling the #426 Navara – hopefully Robbie will be back on track soon as he was showing some good consistent pace.

The SAORRA Multi Club Series now heads to Mannum in early September for the final deciding round.
