Can-Am Loveday 350 Day 1 - Hanson, Turnbull, Wilson
Sunday, 27 October 2019
In his maiden run at the Can-Am Loveday 350 Matt Hanson, with first time navigator Paul Chilianis, have blitzed the field of local runners to top the timesheets at the end of day ones racing.

Hanson, who has suffered an unidentified misfire issue in recent events, was confident that the offending fuel injectors were replaced and the SMU Racing Jimco was ready to be back on track. As he headed out for his habitual prologue walk on Friday, Hanson said “I’m just happy to be finally racing. We thought Rainbow then Pines, but made neither. We’re sure we’ve fixed it now, so here we are, over the border in South Aus, happy to be racing”.

Hanson clocked in the quickest prologue time followed by Travis Milburn #77 in second and the Robert Plant and Ryan Burr duo #128 in third place.

As the sun set on the Loveday 4X4 Adventure Park campgrounds, Hanson and Chilianis remained in first place after 4 laps of the 35km course with Garry and Tamara Turnbull #79 in second and Josh Wilson and Andrew Panton in the ex Paul White #73 GET Performance machine in third.
