2020 Stackpoole Cancelled
Wednesday, 20 May 2020
The Griffith Off Road Club have today announced that, due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, they have made the very difficult, but necessary, decision to cancel their July 4-5 event.  The ARB Town and Country Tyres Stackpoole 500 was to be Round 1 of the 2020 ARB Australian Off Road Racing Championship.

Dean Meginley, a representative of the Griffith Off Road Club explained “we’ve looked at it from all the different view points, and it’s just not possible to go ahead with the event. The decision has been tough, but it would be unfair to call our event part of a national championship if all our racing family from all states could not participate. It’s just not feasible to run a national event with the current border restrictions that are in place.”

“The event needs to be accessible to all, and given that both South Australian and Queensland have said this week that it is unlikely that their borders will be opening any time soon, as a club, we are left with no other option”.

The Griffith Off Road Club want to encourage everyone to abide by the Covid-19 restrictions and social distancing requirements, to stay safe and healthy, so we can all get back to the track soon.

The Griffith Off Road Club members will now start planning for their event in 2021 and look forward to seeing off roaders back at Stackpoole for the 2021 ARB Australian Off Road Racing Championship.
