Off road racing in the era of Covid-19 is turning a corner. The first Motorsport Australia sanctioned off road event was today given the official go ahead with the release of the Supplementary Regulations.

Entries for the Ronco Motors Loveday 280, scheduled for 26-28th June, will open on Monday 15th June at 9:00am SA Time with the premium entry fee taking effect from Friday 19th June at 7:00pm, giving teams five days to take advantage of the discounted entry fee.

Murray Rogers, Clerk of the Course had this to say “I’d advise all competitors looking to enter the Ronco Motors Loveday 280 to thoroughly read the supplementary regulations and information provided on the events page of offroadracing.com.au. You will need to provide more information when you enter than you did previously, to reduce the contact you have with the officials at the event.”

“The onus is now on you to organise your team members and to have all the information you need before you enter. We’re living in the new age of racing with Covid-19 and we’re just all going to have to adapt and learn to be patient and to be organised.”

“Also remember that the rules and restrictions are changing daily, so we don’t know what we’re going to be allowed to do by the time the event comes around, although at this stage, the borders to South Australia are closed, therefore the event is only open to competitors in South Australia and with no spectators.”

Supplementary regulations and event information can be found here. More details will be uploaded over the coming days.
