Off road racing is a great, yet sometimes cruel sport, and today at the Whitsunday Regional Council Don River Dash 300 that rang true for Michael Marson and Mick Collins.

Marson was leading the event until the last lap when a deflating front right tyre saw him surrender the lead Talbot Cox and Craig King; Cox ultimately claiming victory by just 2seconds over Marson.

Billy Geddes took back the wheel of the #441 machine from Toby Price to drive the Geiser Bros Trophy Truck into third outright, rounding out the Whitsunday Regional Council Don River Dash 300 podium.

Paul Youman claimed to have learnt a thing or two from navigator Russell Hartnett (podium placer at the recent Albins ARB Goondiwindi 400) to slot into fourth outright ahead of Brett Comiskey and Dan McKenzie in fifth place.
