Last Parc Ferme for Nev Taylor
Thursday, 29 October 2020
Today we said goodbye to a mate. Not just a mate, but a great mate.

The checkered flag dropped early on Nev Taylor’s life campaign and today he was sent off in fitting style with hundreds of family, friends, work colleagues and offroaders gathering in Brisbane to pay their last respects.

With Covid-19 restrictions limiting the numbers at the Chapel service to 100, the remainder of the field gathered at the Eatons Hill Hotel Grand Ballroom to watch the service live streamed to Nev’s ‘parc ferme’ celebrations.

Nev’s wife and partner in life Annette gave a moving eulogy along with all four of Nev’s children, Michael, Hayley, Clayton and Ryan, speaking at the service; reliving memories from their perspective of Nev’s life.

Some of Nev’s 13 grandchildren held their composure to speak about their Poppy and the impact that he’d had on them.

The parc ferme was a great and fitting celebration of the life of Neville Taylor. The music played on into the evening and Team Taylor took to the stage to sing, laugh and cry to Nev's favourite songs.

May he now Race In Peace.  The checkered flag has dropped but the legacy of Nev Taylor will live long and prosper through a tight knit and loving family.
