The Don River Dash has been awarded the prestigious Community Event of the Year Australia Day award.

An event the size of the Don River Dash is a mammoth effort for any volunteer club let alone the added complexities of staging it during Covid-19. The Burdekin Offroaders members met the challenge head on, putting in an extraordinary effort which saw record car and bike entries head to the North Queensland oasis of Bowen in September 2020.
