The Griffith Off Road Club have admitted defeat and made the tough decision to cancel the 2021 ARB TCT The Gap 400, the second round of the 2021 ARB Australian Off Road Racing Championship scheduled for August 13-15.

Given the current state of Covid-19 restrictions across the country, it became obvious to the committee in the last few days that the likelihood of restrictions lifting by August 13 was next to none.

Karl Power, Club President said “I’m so proud of the club members; the amount of work they have put in to get the new venue up and running is amazing; we’re all disappointed that we can’t go ahead.”

“We will continue to develop the Hillston venue and hope to come back bigger and better next year.”

“Thank you to all the competitors that moved their entry from July to August. We’ve been humbled by the support and enthusiasm shown by competitors wanting to try out our new track.”

“We will be contacting entrants to organise their refunds. Stay safe everyone and fingers crossed that Pines and Gundy can go ahead.”
