There are a number of top Australian racers about to fly over to the USA to race in the 2018 Best in the Desert Championship Mint 400 at Las Vegas 9-11 March 2018.

The Great American off road race is 400 miles (645 km’s) in the Primm Nevada Desert. Fast desert, tight trails, massive whoops, more dust than you can imagine are an adrenaline junkies dream come true.

Dakar champion Toby Price will team up with Jesse Jones in the #76 TSCO T2 Trick Truck against 62 other Trick Trucks. Toby has had a huge start to the year, racing Dakar and testing WRC/Dakar cars and racing the Supercar Utes series. #76 has help from great sponsors BF Goodrich Tyres, KMC Wheels, Baja Designs and Rugged Radios.

Australian SxS and Baja 1000 UTV legends Brett Comiskey and Dan Mckenzie will line up against 138 other UTV’s. After securing a second place result at the first round, the Parker 250 in January, the CMS Racing #2910 is looking to stay up the pointy end of the Championship in the UTV unlimited class.

Brett and Dan also finished the 2017 Baja1000 in Mexico as the first Australians to race Baja in a UTV/SxS. #2910’s sponsors include Lone Star Racing, Comiskey Mining Services, Cook Off Road Racing, GBC tires, EVO, Summer Bros, Walker Evans, King Shocks, Double E Racing, ZRP Kombustion Motorsports,, and East Coast Powersports.

Central Queensland boys Corey Howell with Alan Cornick in the #10 Ford Geiser Trick Truck will also push hard to stay in the top ten after an awesome result in the BITD first round at the Parker 425 last month. #10’s sponsors include AMCOR Excavations Pty Ltd and Geiser Bros Design & Development.

Central Queenslander Billy Geddes and American Robert Johnston will campaign the #54 Geiser Trick Truck. Billy was having a killer run at the first BITD round the Parker 425 until a small mistake cost him over an hour and pushed him outside the top ten of the premier class. Billy and his team finished the BITD championship in fifth last year. #54’s sponsors include Geiser Bros Design & Development, Dougans Ace Motors, King Shocks, BF Goodrich Tyres, KMC Wheels, PCI Radios, PBR Automotive, Robert Johnston, Geddit Racing.

The Racer Engineering Class 1 #1051 buggy of Luke Erceg with Dad Ben and Michael Marson sharing the navigating duties will compete against 27 other class 1 buggies. With the excitement of their 2017 Baja 1000 finish last November, they are sure to be more experienced and bringing their A game as they race off against their US counterparts. 1051’s sponsors include Erceg Motorsport.
